Production Worker-Nights

About the Role

The Production Worker performs all tasks involved in the production of the company's products, following standard work methods and safe work habits to ensure efficiency and safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform work on the production line, including running equipment and inspecting, stacking, separating, counting, and packing product.
• Conduct quality checks and properly record information.
• Monitor machinery and equipment operation to ensure product meets performance specifications.
• Promptly notify supervisor of any quality or production issues.
• Assist with changeovers.
• Maintain good housekeeping by regularly cleaning work areas, machines, and equipment.
• Identify and contribute to continuous improvement efforts to reduce costs or increase productivity.
• Maintain open communication with supervisors regarding matters of importance.
• Adhere to company values, practices, policies, and procedures.
• Follow and support compliance with all applicable safety rules, laws, regulations, and standards.
• Demonstrate regular and punctual attendance.
• Perform other duties as requested.

Requirements

• Keep up with machine production rates.
• Perform basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) to resolve practical problems.
• Operate a computer, including proficiency with spreadsheets and reporting software.
• Wear and use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Understand written instructions and complete documentation as directed.
• Use a logical approach to troubleshooting and prioritizing production needs.
• Recognize problems and work toward solutions.
• Pay attention to detail and pursue quality in work duties.
• Identify opportunities to reduce costs or increase productivity.
• Handle challenges effectively and communicate professionally with team members and customers.
• Present information clearly and accurately.
• Independently improve skills, abilities, and job knowledge.

• Entry-level position (0 to 2 years’ experience).
• Must be able to obtain a forklift license through Highline Warren.

Physical Demands

• Remain in a stationary position during line operations.
• Regularly move about the production line to perform job duties.
• Transport products and materials weighing up to 58 pounds.
• Manipulate products on pallets using force of up to 35 pounds.
• Retrieve products or materials from ground level.
• Reach forward and overhead when inspecting products or moving pallets.
• Ascend/descend stairs or ladders to access machinery, catwalks, or climb over the production line.
• Handle products, boxes, and pallets.
• Perceive sounds and exchange detailed information in a moderate-to-high noise environment.
• Move about the manufacturing facility to communicate with team members.

Environmental Conditions

• Work in a manufacturing plant environment with exposure to:
• High or precarious places.
• Moving machinery.
• Temperature and humidity changes.
• Dust, odors, and fumes.
• Typical noise level is loud.

Schedule

10:30 pm – 7:00 am, Sunday – Thursday, with overtime as needed.
