Job Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain manufacturing equipment and machinery, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing downtime.
- Perform assembly tasks as per job router specifications and drawings, adhering to quality standards.
- Record accurate times on the router for each job performed.
- Conduct quality checks, first-piece and in-process, on products at various stages of the manufacturing process to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues quickly and effectively to meet production deadlines.
- Complete cross-training initiatives across multiple work areas/processes to be able to support production needs across the entire facility.
- Maintain accurate production logs and documentation as required.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to improve production efficiency and quality.
- Follow work instructions for each area of the fabrication department.
- Follow all safety instructions.
- Absorb and report quality problems to applicable supervisor.
- Follow departmental procedures and work instructions as written and recommend improvements as necessary.
- Perform any other task/activity assigned by the supervisor within the scope of the fabrication system.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least 6 months of Manufacturing experience and machining.
Physical Demands
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time (up to 8–12 hours per shift).
- Regularly required to lift, carry, push, or pull materials and products up to 25–50 pounds.
- Frequent use of hands and fingers for handling, assembling, and operating machinery and tools.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions of the wrists, hands, and arms.
- Requires close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Must be able to hear machine sounds, alarms, and verbal instructions in a manufacturing environment.
- Frequent reaching, stooping, bending, crouching, twisting and climbing to load/unload materials and maintain equipment.
- Must be able to work in an environment with noise, vibration, and varying temperatures, while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Benefits
Salary range for this role is $19.00 per hour - $23.50 per hour with a $2 shift differential included for working the second shift.
Schedule
Second shift is defined as 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM.
