Production Worker - Fresh Cuts Associate

Responsibilities

• Performs to standard rate for assigned production line and communicates to leadership when company standard is not met.
• Be aware of production performance KPIs.
• Maintains a safe and clean workspace. Ensures work area is washdown ready for sanitation to finish including the floor, tables, cutting boards, and equipment.
• Maintains quality specifications of unfinished products.
• Prepares, cuts, and repacks product per customers’ specifications.
• Operates machinery such as potato peelers, bag sealers, and others.
• Responsible for the cleaning and sanitation of the work area.
• While adhering to sanitation and safety procedures for handling and production to SQF (safe quality food) standards.
• Colleagues must follow GMPs.

Qualifications

• Education: Prefer High School or GED but not required.
• Experience: Related industry experience preferred. General understanding of processing procedures preferred. Experience working in a high-volume warehouse/production facility preferred. Knowledge of GMP policy preferred. Ability to use and handle sharp knife, peelers, and hand machines preferred.
• Skills: Ability to communicate effectively. Bi-lingual preferred. Limited computer skills. Willingness to learn lean Manufacturing processes.

Physical Demands

• Able to lift and or move 25 lb. to 50 lb.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to stoop and bend frequently.
