Production Worker (Crystal Verification Technician - 2nd Shift)
Position Overview
Performs visual, real time image computer and NDT inspection on single crystal castings. The Crystal Verification Tech has nonconforming product disposition authority to review product non-conformances as part of continuous improvement.
Environmental Health & Safety Responsibilities
- Assist in the implementation of EHS Values and policy statements and accompanying principals.
- Comply with all department, facility, corporate and regulatory EHS regulations.
- Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Report all job related illness and injuries (Per Employee Handbook).
- Report all safety, health and environmental concerns to your supervisor in a timely manner.
- Attend all EHS training.
Essential Job Functions
- To visually inspect the grain integrity of SC and DS castings to specific customer requirements and with the aid of a real time image computer program, analyze the internal properties.
- To perform any rework operations, e.g. belting, RX, spot etch, to complete the inspection process in an expeditious manner to meet customer schedules.
- Performs other duties as might be assigned by supervision.
- Must pass visual exam
- Must pass DS/SC level II exam for certification

- Frequent lifting of up to 25 pounds

About The Team
The Howmet engines business produces world-class aerospace engine components, including investment castings, fasteners, rings and forgings. Our vacuum melted superalloys, machining, performance coatings and hot isostatic pressing for high performance parts enable the next generation of quieter, cleaner and more fuel-efficient aerospace engines. Able to supply more than 90% of structural and rotating aerospace engine components.
Qualifications
- BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Access to export-controlled items, High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
- PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of how parts move though-out shop, Intermediate computer skills, Good verbal communication.

Anticipated Pay Range
$23-$25.50 per hour. *Pay rates within this range are determined based on various factors including experience, education, certifications, etc.
