Production Worker (Bilingual )
About the role
The General Production Worker completes various tasks in their designated department, which may include Finishing, Parts, Grinding, Strapping, Upholstery, Assembly, Table Tops, Packing, and Shipping.
Responsibilities
- Complete various tasks and duties as assigned correctly and on time
- Use only established procedures for assigned tasks
- Inspect work for quality and to ensure it meets specifications
- Keep work area clean and picked up
- Strive to increase productivity
- Pay close attention to any machinery being operated and notify supervisor if it is not operating properly
- Ask supervisor for guidance if unsure about a task or procedure
Safety
Understand and follow the Company's work and workplace safety policies and procedures, including watching for employees who are not wearing proper safety equipment or committing safety violations, and reporting incidents to a Lead, Supervisor, or Manager.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily in accordance with established standards and quality. Requirements include:
- LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to speak and read in either English or Spanish
- MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Basic mathematical skills
- REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
Physical Demands
The physical demands of this job include:
- Standing and walking throughout the day
- Regular use of hands to fingers, handles, or feels
- Reaching with hands and arms
- Lifting, moving, and carrying up to 50 lbs
- Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling (may be required)
- Specific vision abilities, including close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
Work Environment
The work environment characteristics include:
- Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts
- Occasional exposure to cold or hot weather
- Moderate noise level
