Production Worker - Atomizer
About the role
ATI is currently seeking a Production Worker for their Atomizer department in the Oakdale, PA facility. This position involves forming powder from molten metal using high-pressure inert gas, and the powder will be used in aerospace, nuclear, and national defense applications.
Responsibilities
- Maintain all equipment
- Weigh out raw materials and oversize powder to meet required product chemistry
- Prepare heats efficiently and accurately to promote continuous atomization
- Perform multiple refractory tasks
- Thoroughly clean, assemble, inspect, and install all equipment required for melt preparation
- Verify all equipment and materials are ready for atomization including documentation review
- Perform removal and installation of the furnace into the melt chamber including digging out, grouting, and installing blanket and ground fault
Requirements
- A strong attention to detail
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient with basic computer applications
- Work well independently and with a team
Qualifications
- General HS Diploma / GED
- Prior manufacturing, military, or industrial experience preferred
Skills
- Basic computer skills
- Mechanically inclined
- Lift up to 50 lbs
