Production Worker

About the Role

We are a glass wholesale company seeking a motivated individual with energy, focus, and drive. This role involves handling large and heavy sheets of glass and fabricating products to meet customer needs. Candidates with a construction or manufacturing background are preferred, and those with previous glass experience are encouraged to apply. There are opportunities to move to other departments and grow with our company.

Responsibilities

• Cutting stock sheets of glass
• Washing glass
• Tempering
• Seaming edges
• Installing spacers and/or grids
• Packing glue into insulated units
• Loading trucks for delivery

Requirements

• Must be punctual and able to communicate with team members with a positive attitude
• Perform simple addition, subtraction, and multiplication
• Push, pull, carry, lift, or move up to 75 pounds
• Able to stand/walk 8-12 hours on concrete surfaces
• Ability to conduct basic problem solving
• Withstand exposure to extreme heat or cold for both inside and outside job tasks
• Use of personal protective equipment (safety sleeves, safety gloves, steel-toe shoes, safety glasses, etc.) as required
• Read basic drawings and layouts
• Able to read a tape measure down to the 16th of an inch
• Understand, read, and write the English language
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Production and line experience preferred
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Reliable transportation required (no public transit available)
