Position: Production Worker
Location: Munroe Falls, OH
Pay: $23.38/hr
Shift: 1st
The Third Shift Hours Are As Follows
Sunday 10:00PM-Monday 6:00AM
Monday 10:00PM-Tuesday 6:00AM
Tuesday 10:00PM-Wednesday 6:00AM
Wednesday 10:00PM-Thursday 6:00AM
Thursday 10:00PM - Friday 6:00AM
MUST BE WILLING TO WORK OVERTIME IF NEEDED**

Responsibilities

• Collaborating closely with other departments and teams
• Having the ability to think on your feet and troubleshoot problems and situations
• Making incremental process adjustments, monitor and report quality of manufactured product
• Learning to set up new jobs, train on other lines and in other departments
• Maintaining a safe, clean and organized work area
• Performing all duties as designated by supervisor/manager
• Performing all duties in support of Sonoco’s quality and safety policies
• Helping out other departments as needed
• Downtime is cleaning and straightening time

Requirements

• Must have at least 1 year in a manufacturing/warehouse environment
• Must have a “get it done” attitude and an urgency to resolve problems/tasks
• Must be able to easily lift up to 50 lbs. as needed
• Must have previously held a Forklift Certification and safely operate a forklift
• Must be able to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Must have working knowledge of our products and their quality requirements
• Must be reliable, have good initiative, be committed, and be quality focused
• Must have the ability to effectively work with a team in a fast-paced environment
• Must have the ability to read and understand manufacturing instructions
• Must be able to perform repetitive duties, including going up and down stairs and standing for long periods of time
• Must have the ability to work quickly while maintaining a high level of craftsmanship and attention to detail

Qualifications

• Proven record of success in a fast-paced environment
• Good eye to spot defects in the packing line
• Take pride in personal hands-on and analytical abilities, organizational skills and attention to detail
