About the role

Perform repetitive workstation or line assembly operations to mass-produce sheet metal components or assemble those components into completed products by operating machinery and related duties.

Responsibilities

  • Performs assembly-type functions using hand and/or power tools
  • Operates press brake to form flat sheets
  • Operates automatic fastening machines and devices
  • Operates both stationary and moving overhead cranes
  • Operates forklift as required

Requirements

  • Ability to perform assembly-type functions using hand and/or power tools
  • Ability to pass background check and drug screen
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience operating a forklift preferred
  • 1 year general work production/manufacturing experience preferred

Skills

  • Ability to write and read routine reports or job orders
  • Ability to understand job instructions
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to perform mathematical operations using American units of money, weight, volume, and distance
  • Ability to interpret, understand, and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM. Overtime may be required.

Pay

$19.00 – $25.00 per hour

Physical demands

  • Regularly required to stand
  • Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, and feel objects; climb and balance
  • Occasionally required to walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Must be able to communicate readily and to talk and hear
  • Requires close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

Work environment

  • Regularly exposed to vibration
  • Occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in high, precarious places
  • Occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock
  • The noise level in the work environment is occasionally very loud
