About the Role

This position involves production line duties, material handling, and preparation of products for shipment in a warehouse environment. The role requires adherence to safety protocols, operation of equipment such as forklifts and overhead cranes, and maintaining a clean work area.

Responsibilities

  • Locate materials and supplies by pulling and verifying items listed on work orders.
  • Prepare and move coils/products for shipment using forklifts and overhead cranes.
  • Perform production line duties including manual lifting, packaging, taping, banding, labeling, and sorting.
  • Prepare finished coils/products for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product.
  • Report defective materials or questionable conditions to supervisor.
  • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition while following safety policies.
  • Utilize power tools and various equipment as needed to perform duties.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years old.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
  • Available to work any shift, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
  • Ability to frequently lift 50 lbs.
  • Willing to adhere to all safety rules and regulations, including all PPE requirements.
  • Must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check.
  • Understand and follow basic verbal and written instructions.
  • Possess basic mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Perform basic visual quality inspections on products.
  • Must be certified or become certified in operation of forklifts and overhead cranes.

Physical Demands

  • May be required to stand for long periods of time.
  • May involve some repetitive motions.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • May engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, and pulling of parts and part containers.
  • Due to the open environment of the warehouse, must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions, including extreme heat, humidity, and cold.
