Responsibilities

  • Removes items from bins or carts for close inspection to determine if the item is saleable.
  • Scans clothing/textile items for defects such as holes, rips, tears, misaligned or missing fasteners or trim, and variations in color of fabric.
  • Examines fabric for holes or stains.
  • Sorts textiles to determine quality and price or if the item goes to As-Is, bale, or dump if appropriate.
  • For non-clothing items, scans items for defects such as cracks, rust, broken or missing pieces, stains, and if the item is operational; sorts and prices accordingly.
  • Cleans items as needed.
  • Hangs, tags, and prices textile and non-textile items.
  • Works at different work stations as production needs require or stocking as needs arise.
  • Meets production standards: grade and sort 2.5 carts or 486 units per hour with an error rate of less than 5%; complete (sort, hang, tag) ½ of a rack of clothing per hour or complete (sort, price) 4 totes of non-textile items per hour.
  • Conducts work in a safe and responsible manner utilizing protective clothing and equipment and complies with safety standards.
  • Responsible for awareness of and adherence to all company and safety policies and procedures.
  • Available to work on weekends.

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Occasionally maneuver wheeled containers weighing up to 100 pounds.
