About the role
Evaluates, touches up and reworks surface mount and through-hole printed circuit board assembly solder joints. Adjusts and operates semi-automatic and automatic component preforming equipment.
Responsibilities
- Checks and repairs printed circuit boards for solder and assembly defects using the workmanship standards as a guide concerning the quality of boards
- Sets up and operates semi-automatic and automatic preforming equipment
- Verifies the quality of the pre-forming and adjusts as necessary
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred

- Ability to work with small hand tools
- Critical thinker with strong attention to detail
- Good interaction, communication skills with customers at all levels
- Good problem-solving skills
- Good verbal communication skills with all levels of internal and external contacts
- Able to plan and perform a sequence of operations, and the making of general decisions as to quality, tolerance, operation and set-up sequence
Skills
- Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work as well as concentrate on multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to develop and maintain business relationships

Physical Abilities
- Occasionally lift, or carry, or lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Regularly required to talk and hear
- Frequently required to sit, stand, and bend at the knee and waist, and walk
- Must have finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination to work with wire crimping machinery
