Production Worker

Bunzl Safety Los Angeles is seeking a Production Worker to execute various value-added services tasks for five Bunzl companies located in the City of Industry building.

About the role

Perform all tasks involved in the production of the company’s products while following standard work methods and practicing safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.

Responsibilities

• Perform value-added services tasks including Screen-Printing, Pad-Printing, Tagging, Vend-Packing, Packing, Re-Packing, Re-work, Assembly, and Kitting.
• Operate automatic screen-printing, pad printing, and/or heat stamp machine presses including set-up, printing, and tear down of jobs with attention to detail, quality of print, accuracy, and speed.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and notify management of any common screen-printing, pad printing, or other value-added services maintenance problems.
• Clean equipment including removing ink from screens, squeegees, press, and tools.
• Maintain a neat and orderly immediate work area as well as assigned housekeeping areas.
• Read and complete work orders and documentation accurately.
• Support efforts to improve operations by making incremental improvements.
• Understand color mixing principles to match customer logo specification colors.

Requirements

• High School/GED education preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend complex written or oral instructions and correspondence in English.
• Perform common mathematical skills such as multiplying in dozens or calculating print rates.
• Experience mixing up to 4+ colors preferred.
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs at times with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time while reaching with hands and arms for an entire shift.

Pay

$17.00–19.00 per hour based on experience, education, and geographic location.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:45 PM (1st shift).
