Pay
$19.00/hr with a $1.00 shift differential for nights. Sign-on bonus of $1,000 paid as $500 at 90 days and $500 at 180 days.
Schedule
4 days a week, 10 hours per day (4:45 PM to 3:15 AM), with overtime as needed.
About the role
The Production Associate is an hourly position responsible for operating presses, assisting machine operators, removing parts from presses, separating parts from scrap, assembling parts, stacking or packaging parts, and operating equipment.
Responsibilities
- Follows all plant safety guidelines, practices, and procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment.
- Ensures regular attendance and works in a team environment, helping others understand their roles and emergency procedures.
- Interprets company work orders and job control procedures.
- Works efficiently and accurately to meet 100% of production goals.
- Gathers or requests materials, assembles totes, prepares skids, bags, and boxes for packaging.
- Packages parts on skids, in bags, or boxes, labels them, and moves them to storage or the next operation.
- Ensures safety devices are in place and reports unsafe behavior or conditions.
- Maintains a clean, tidy, and safe work area.
- Performs other tasks as assigned by leadership.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- 3-6 months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills
- Good mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Ability to read, write, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, blueprints, etc.
- Effective communication with coworkers, supervision, and management.
- Ability to read a scale and tape measure.
- Ability to work without direct supervision.
Physical Requirements
- Standing or walking for 8–12 hours at a time.
- Moderate exposure to noise.
- Frequent bending, twisting, and turning.
- Full use of both hands to handle objects, tools, or controls.
- Close and distance vision abilities.
- Works with fiberglass insulation.
- Regularly works near moving mechanical parts.
