About the role
As a Production Welder, you will work as part of our fabrication team producing structural and miscellaneous steel components while maintaining Bowman Steel’s standards for safety, quality, and productivity. Join an established structural steel company with decades of experience, work alongside experienced fabricators, develop your welding and fabrication skills through hands-on experience, and have overtime opportunities based on production needs in a quality‑focused culture.
Work Location: In person at Bowman Steel, LLC, 13730 SE 31st Ave, Summerfield, FL 34491.
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding on steel and aluminum components.
- Fabricate and weld handrails, stairs, gates, ladders, and related steel products.
- Work efficiently to meet production schedules and deadlines.
- Follow fabrication specifications, measurements, and shop instructions.
- Inspect completed welds and fabricated components for quality.
- Safely operate welding and fabrication equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all company safety requirements and procedures.
- Work cooperatively with supervisors and other members of the production team.
- Assist with additional fabrication and shop duties as needed.
Requirements
- Previous MIG welding experience required.
- Experience working with steel and aluminum.
- Experience fabricating handrails, stairs, gates, and ladders preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently in a production environment.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to follow instructions and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to learn and receive additional training.
- Must be able to perform the physical requirements associated with fabrication and welding work.
- Welding skills may be evaluated as part of the hiring process.

Pay
$20.00 – $25.00 per hour
Schedule
Full-time, with overtime opportunities as needed
