Production Trainee

About the role

Howmet Aerospace's Cleveland, OH manufacturing facility has immediate openings for Production Trainee to fill currently hourly positions.

Responsibilities

• Setting up the presses
• Assisting with die changes
• Manually moving product in and out of the furnace
• Operating a mill gun/chipping hammer to remove imperfections from aluminum parts
• Using overhead crane to move parts from baskets to work stands
• Reviewing process notes
• Flexibility to rotate in different positions throughout the plant and work any shift

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• The ability to raise/lower an object with control by reaching near floor, knee, waist, or chest levels
• The ability to keep or regain balance or remain upright when walking or running on varying surfaces
• The ability to make precisely coordinated movements with fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, place or assemble very small items
• The ability to quickly move the hand, wrist and elbow of one or both arms to grossly grasp, manipulate, place or turn parts
• The ability to work in a non-temperature-controlled environment
• At least three years of manufacturing experience
