Production Trainee

About the role

Duro-Last Roofing is the world’s largest manufacturer of prefabricated roofing systems. We are seeking a Production Trainee who is eager to learn and grow within our company at our Grants Pass, OR location. The shift is Monday through Friday, 5 AM - 1:30 PM, with a pay rate of $19 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Assist fellow team members in making a high-quality product, free of defects, to fulfill customers' needs and expectations
• Learn all the basic level tasks including how to operate all machines (dielectric welder, cutting table, parapets, etc.) and all procedures under the guidance of a qualified trainer
• Accurately complete all required production paperwork
• Attend and participate in scheduled Company meetings including all plant, production, and safety meetings
• Keep work area clean and neat to ensure there are no safety hazards and that the area is presentable for guests
• Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors
• All other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED is required
• Previous manufacturing experience is highly desired
• At least 18 years of age
• Able to work in a team and have initiative to get the job done
• Able to accurately read a tape measure
• Able to pass a pre-hire drug screen, physical, and background check
• Available to work up to a 12-hour shift and weekends when necessary

Qualifications

• Must be able to adhere to all safety protocols and properly use Amrize-approved Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), including but not limited to respirators
• Employees required to wear respirators must be clean-shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests
