Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform precision assembly of infrared camera components, including optics, sensors, and mechanical housings
- Execute functional and environmental testing of IR camera systems per defined procedures
- Inspect components and finished assemblies using microscopes and metrology tools to ensure quality standards are met
- Follow detailed work instructions, travelers, and engineering documentation with high accuracy
- Maintain strict adherence to cleanroom protocols (gowning, contamination control, ESD handling)
- Record production data, test results, and non-conformances accurately in manufacturing systems (e.g., Camstar or equivalent)
- Identify defects or process deviations and escalate issues to engineering or supervisory staff
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to yield, throughput, and quality
- Assist with equipment setup, calibration checks, and routine maintenance
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate degree preferred
- 1–3+ years of experience in cleanroom assembly, electronics manufacturing, or optical/mechanical assembly
- Experience working with small components and precision tools (tweezers, torque drivers, microscopes)
- Familiarity with electrostatic discharge (ESD) and contamination control practices
- Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions, drawings, and specifications
- Basic computer skills for data entry and manufacturing systems
