Production Test Technician
Kratos has an exciting opportunity in Colorado Springs, CO for a Production Test Technician.
About the role
Test many different types of printed circuit assemblies (PCAs), Modules (mother/daughter board configurations) and Chassis according to published and controlled test procedures (TP) and assembly drawings. Diagnose and repair test failures, support new and updated test procedures, and assist in testing new product development. Interpret electrical design schematics and support troubleshooting efforts under general supervision. Interface frequently with other Test Technicians, Assemblers, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Production Leads, and Project Managers. Collaborate with departments at other Kratos locations to refine requirements and ensure testing supports deliverable intent. Provide solutions to technical problems of moderate scope and complexity.
Responsibilities
- Test, troubleshoot, and repair Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBAs)
- Use automated test scripts, Python, Test Stand, and/or LabView software
- Operate electronic test equipment (VOM, oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, power meters, etc.)
- Read and interpret schematics and IPC-certified soldering standards
- Support RF testing and advanced PCBA rework techniques
- Work with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), preferably Epicor
Qualifications
- Experience with testing, troubleshooting, and repairing PCBAs
- Familiarity with computerized data acquisition and automated test control systems
- Understanding of RF/electrical/electronic systems and troubleshooting techniques
- IPC certification (preferred)
Pay
Hourly rate of pay: $30–$35. This is a temporary assignment with the potential for regular full-time employment.
