About the Role

As a Production Test Engineer (PTE) II, you’ll be part of a manufacturing team supporting the test process through one or more phases of the product life cycle, including product development, transition to production, sustained production, and depot activities. You’ll validate and ensure compliance of prime hardware to technical data package requirements and supporting test equipment, troubleshoot test failures, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, yields, and capacity in test processes.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and provide accurate rework instructions for product hardware.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining spares and the test equipment obsolescence plan.
  • Work on projects to reduce test time and improve test processes through analysis of predictive metrics, trends, failure modes, and test yields.
  • Contribute to test capacity analyses and test flows.
  • Maintain changes to the test equipment technical data package, including drawings, test instructions, test position manuals, and system software.
  • Assist in non-routine fault isolation, diagnosis, and repair of the product or test equipment.
  • Support root cause and corrective action investigations, presenting findings using fault trees and knowledge point plans.
  • Assist with risk assessments and support the program’s risk register reviews.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
  • Minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing production environment.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Access (ATF).
  • Active and transferable U.S. government-issued DoD Secret security clearance (required on day 1).
  • U.S. citizenship (required for security clearance eligibility).

  • Hands-on hardware integration and troubleshooting experience.

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and assist in developing sustaining solutions to routine technical problems.

Pay

The salary range for this role is $68,900 – $131,100 USD.
