Production Technician - Part-time

Responsibilities

• Conduct individual tasks including weighing, mixing, and dispensing chemicals, as well as cleaning tasks and documentation.
• Operate standard and specialized lab equipment.
• Identify safety hazards and opportunities for improvement.
• Introduce required materials to workstation and follow written instructions to perform tasks while accurately documenting completion.
• Perform tasks requiring attention to detail, dexterity, and precision (75% of tasks performed standing).
• Work in close proximity with a team of 2-4 people.
• Accurately weigh, mix, and dispense chemical agents.
• Understand requirements for properly disposing of hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
• Immediately notify Supervisor of any deviation from the process or material that does not meet specification.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Lab, cleanroom, or production experience preferred but not required.
• Able to work with multiple persons in a team environment.
• Excellent attendance with willingness to work some weekends and overtime.

Skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Able to perform routine computer data entry tasks.
• Able to accurately measure, add, and subtract.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

• Move or lift heavy objects (26 to 50 lbs).
• Frequent (>75%) stationary position, standing, using a glovebox.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Cleanroom environment with limited exposure to hazardous chemicals used in product manufacturing.

Day in the Life

Team members arrive and enter a locker room/gowning area where they put on PPE (hair net, Tyvek coveralls, safety glasses, and shoe covers) before proceeding to the production area. Once in the production area, team members introduce required materials to their workstation, follow written instructions to perform tasks, and accurately document completion.

Pay

$20.00/hour with an additional $1.50/hour shift differential for hours worked on Saturday and Sunday.
