Production Technician Laborer

About the Role

This role helps to foster self-reliance, care for the poor and the needy, and provide opportunities for giving and service by assisting members in becoming economically and emotionally self-reliant, providing access to essential food and clothing items, helping members prepare for and respond to disasters, and providing humanitarian aid to relieve suffering, thus furthering the mission of the Church.

Under the direction of the immediate supervisor and in compliance with Welfare Services' policies and procedures, the incumbent assists in general labor activities to meet the assigned production plan and maintains a safe and sanitary facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance on packaging lines to meet production plan
• Assist in maintaining sanitation and safety standards of the facility
• Assist in preparing packaging lines for daily production runs to ensure GMP and quality control standards are met
• Operate minor packaging equipment and stack products on pallets
• Clean the facility thoroughly
• Assist other Production Technicians in assignments
• Receive and complete special assignments from the supervisor for general tasks

Qualifications

• Able to learn principles of Good Manufacturing Processes (GMP) and quality control standards
• Must display required interpersonal skills that reflect Welfare Services policies and the image of the Church
• Physically capable of heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs), climbing, bending, kneeling, stooping, and standing in position for extended periods of time
• Preferred: 2 years formal technical training
• Must be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and currently temple worthy

Schedule

Monday through Thursday, 6:00 am to 3:00 pm
