Our Facility in Carson, CA is our Engineered Products Group location, which houses our Human Machine Interface, Motion Control Device, and Radiofrequency Departments.

Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical, mechanical, and lighting assembly and testing using standard and specialized test and measurement equipment in a manufacturing production environment.
  • Perform work to standard work instructions and operating procedures.
  • Work from blueprints and other specifications, using hand tools and test equipment.
  • Test faulty equipment and inspect mechanical and electrical units to diagnose malfunctions.
  • Repair or replace defective units and adjust equipment or machines.
  • Wire prep, abrading, etch, prime, pre-coat wires and connectors.
  • Able to work with parts or components that require special care in handling or other procedures which require good dexterity and facility in the use of a variety of hand tools.
  • Make minor procedural decisions in soldering, fitting, etc., but always within established guidelines.
  • Interpret instructions to mix various epoxies and paints for marking and bonding.
  • Perform all appropriate and required documentation for technical assembly and test processes with calibrated tools and equipment.
  • Verify quality of work regarding assembly, solder, and lighting.
  • Perform other assignments as required.

Work Environment and Safety

  • Responsible for the proper handling and management of hazardous waste generated in their work area.
  • Mandatory safety glasses in production locations.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and understand blueprint drawings/specifications.
  • Effective use of High School basic math and algebra.
  • Read and understand internal procedures and policies.
  • Understand and follow through on both verbal and written instructions.
  • Team-oriented with a continuous improvement outlook.
  • Knowledge of using solder systems, wire strippers, and crimpers preferred.

Qualifications

Vocational, High School diploma, or general education degree (GED); or 1-3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Pay

Base Compensation: USD 23.00 - 25.00 per hour
