Main Responsibilities
- Inspect parts to ensure they are the correct parts for a particular unit.
- Read and understand engineering prints and tolerances for particular parts.
- Assemble components and small parts assemblies onto fuel or industrial tanks.
- Inspect the accuracy of the assembled tank for potential quality issues.
- Identify, record, and report any scrapped product.
- Understand the correct operation of a roto-molding machine.
- Understand and comply with the production schedule.
- Able to understand verbal and hands-on instructions.
- Use inserts and other molded-in components to a mold.
- Use measuring equipment to obtain proper powder weights.
- Charge mold with correct weight and type of powder.
- Change molds to accommodate production schedule.
- Inspect parts for conformance to specification.
- Maintain an accurate count on the quantity of good parts and scrap parts.
- May be assigned to perform other duties as requested.
Qualifications and Experiences
- Must be able to read and write.
- Continuous sitting, walking, bending, crouching/stooping, lifting/lowering, climbing stairs, balance, kneeling, crawling, talking or hearing.
- Continuous standing, reaching and pushing/pulling.
- Continuous lifting or moving average weight materials (50 lbs up to 75+ lbs with assistance).
- Continuous mental and visual attention to installation operation. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to work in hot environments.
- Ability to use vibrating tools.
- Ability to use hand and power tools.
- Must be able to work full-time on an ongoing basis.
- Must use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls.
- Continuous lifting and handling of tanks weighing up to 150 pounds, with assistance.
- Must be able to lift 50-75 pounds frequently.
- Able to lift and pour 35 pounds of powder over head continuously.
- Continuous lifting of heavy molds in 0 to 35 pound range.
