About the Role
Crescent Textile Solutions, a manufacturer of woolen-spun yarns located in Two Rivers, WI, is seeking a candidate to clean and maintain carding machines. This role is crucial in ensuring the optimal function and quality of fiber in our textile operations, which include blending, carding, spinning, winding, doubling, and twisting. Crescent is a recognized industry leader in innovative new blends, converting fibers such as wool, alpaca, nylon, and more into yarns for various industries.
Responsibilities
- Clean carding machines of built-up fiber using a vacuum
- Perform additional waste removal from carding machines
- Conduct basic cleaning and maintenance of carding machines and general work area
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Must be dependable with excellent attendance
- Self-directed with a strong work ethic
- Works well with others and has a positive attitude
- Safety conscious
- Mechanically inclined
- Previous experience with circular knitting machines a plus
- Strong attention to detail
- Good basic math skills
- Punctual and reliable
- Able to read, write, and speak English
Qualifications
- HS degree or GED preferred
- Past manufacturing experience preferred
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- Frequent bending/stooping, squatting, reaching above shoulder level, crouching, and lifting (up to 60 lbs)
- Continual walking in a relatively confined area
- Frequent standing at floor level and above floor level on equipment
- Coordination of skills performed at heights no greater than three feet
- Exposure to extremes (90º F) in temperature
- Good vision required (20/20 or corrected to 20/20)
- Frequent and continuous use of hands and arms
- Employees with sensitivities to dust may be exposed to airborne dust, silk, and synthetic fibers; masks are encouraged

Monday - Thursday, 5:00 AM - 3:00 PM
