Production/Technical Co-op

About the role

We are seeking a Technical Engineering Co-op at our Rhinelander, Wisconsin plant for the 2027 Spring semester (January - August).

Responsibilities

• Follow Ahlstrom’s manufacturing and hygiene processes, procedures and policies.
• Actively promote and participate in safety efforts.
• Monitor and analyze internal quality data with the goal of product optimization.
• Aid in troubleshooting quality issues.
• Lead and/or participate in continuous improvement and process optimization projects.
• Support product development in the planning, execution and review of trial activities.

Requirements

• Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
• Enrolled in an Paper Science or Chemical Engineering, or related degree program.
• Living in or willing to relocate to the Rhinelander, Wisconsin area from January - August 2027 – Student Housing or Housing Stipend available.
• Ability to work full-time for the duration of the position.
• Strong desire to work within a fast-paced, manufacturing environment.
• Strong technical aptitude and proven problem solving abilities.
