Production Tech Team Lead
About the role
This position is in Bio-Rad’s high volume print center that produces literature which is distributed throughout our company. We are looking for a candidate that has experience in digital printing, measuring, cutting, booklet maker, GUK or stall folder with right angle and vertical stacker. Experience in coil binding, strong computer skills, able to manipulate Adobe and quite imposing software, SAP experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Accept, process and ship electronic jobs using electronic job submission software.
- Understand printing job requirements by reviewing job specifications; assessing requirements for organizing job sequence, paper selection and equipment set-up.
- Operate and maintain multiple high speed copying equipment to ensure efficient and effective printing services.
- Operate hydraulic paper cutter, paper folder, and plastic coil binding machines to produce high-quality finishing and binding output for our customers.
- Ensure press operation by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years experience working in the digital print industry.
- Knowledge of print specifications for sheet fed and digital production processes.
- Knowledge of Press Operator and Finishing Operator functions.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Well versed in Microsoft Office Programs such as Word, Excel, etc.
- Knowledge of SAP is highly desirable.

- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

Pay
The estimated base salary range for this position is $62,200 to $85,500 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors.
Schedule
This is a 10-hour shift 4 days a week, you're on your feet most of that time.
