Production Tech III

Duration: 12 months (with possibility of extension) • Location: Mentone, TX • Job Type: W2 contract

Position Overview

The Production Tech role is ideal for candidates with strong oil and gas field experience. It involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. Working in the field, you will help facilities meet operational, safety, and environmental standards while collaborating with operations and maintenance teams. This Production Tech position offers hands-on involvement in daily production activities, equipment reliability, and overall asset performance.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on oil and gas production equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair production equipment to support reliable field operations.
• Help ensure production facilities operate safely, efficiently, and in line with operational, environmental, and safety standards.
• Work independently in a field environment while maintaining effective coordination with operations and maintenance teams.
• Read and interpret technical documents, schematics, and P&IDs to support maintenance and troubleshooting activities.
• Complete basic computer-based data entry and reporting as part of daily operational support.
• Travel between field locations as required by the role.

Qualifications & Experience

• 5-10+ years of experience in oil and gas.
• High School diploma/GED equivalent.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of production equipment and field operations.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, schematics, and P&IDs.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between field locations.
