About the Role
Amazon Robotics is seeking a Production Technician who will be responsible for Robotics assembly, Material Handling, and product packaging. Production Technicians are members of the Assembly and Logistics teams within the general manufacturing team responsible for building, automated testing, and packaging of Amazon products manufactured internally.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Build electro-mechanical units utilizing industry best practices
- Shipping, receiving, maintaining, tracking, and delivering goods for manufacturing following appropriate protocols
- Learning systems and tools for material management as well as coordinate methods of delivery with suppliers and customers
- Seeking out improvements in processes to continuously meet on time delivery of goods
- Ability to operate Power Industrial Equipment & pallet jacks for loading and unloading trailers
- General knowledge of manufacturing tools (including but not limited to torque tools, wrenches, channel locks, etc.) and follow written/verbal instructions
Basic Qualifications
- Successfully assemble, fabricate, and/or process materials into complex manufactured products
- Follow one or more process paths defined by your leader/lead tech/manual/SOP
- Perform a variety of procedures and troubleshoot standard tasks, seeking guidance if you need to deviate from available procedures
- Use knowledge of more than one process path to determine which task or procedure is needed to achieve the desired outcome
- Identify training needs for the team and assist in training new-hires and junior peers to help them scale in their role
- Meet productivity and quality standards by following best practices
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with ERP systems and material flow operations
