About the role
Amazon Robotics is seeking a Production Technician who will be responsible for Robotics assembly, Material Handling, and product packaging. Production Technicians are members of the Assembly and Logistics teams within the general manufacturing team responsible for building, automated testing, and packaging of Amazon products manufactured internally.
Responsibilities
- Build electro-mechanical units utilizing industry best practices
- Perform shipping, receiving, maintaining, tracking, and delivering goods for manufacturing following appropriate protocols
- Learn systems and tools for material management as well as coordinate methods of delivery with suppliers and customers
- Seek out improvements in processes to continuously meet on time delivery of goods
- Operate Power Industrial Equipment & pallet jacks for loading and unloading trailers
- Apply general knowledge of manufacturing tools (including but not limited to torque tools, wrenches, channel locks, etc.) and follow written/verbal instructions
Basic qualifications
- Ability to lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
- Experience in high-volume manufacturing operations or sourcing environments
- Speak, write, and read fluently in English, and have the ability to take direction in English
Preferred qualifications
- Familiarity with ERP systems and material flow operations
Pay
Starting pay is $25.00 - $25.00 USD hourly (base pay rate plus highest available shift differential; final pay based on factors including shift selection and location).
