Production Team Member - Night Shift

Brief Description

At Universal Pure, we provide safe, fresh, and delicious food solutions to the food industry through high-pressure processing (HPP), value-added services, and cold storage. We focus on safety and service, and we're looking for a Manufacturing, Production, or Warehouse-type role in the food manufacturing industry.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, And Key Accountabilities

  • Packing and unpacking the product
  • Loading and unloading cylinders for the HPP machine
  • Loading and unloading pallets
  • Labeling and code dating product
  • Performing sanitation duties as assigned
  • Performing other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED
  • Refrigeration, warehouse, production, or manufacturing experience
  • MHE/Forklift experience
  • Previous experience working overnight shifts highly preferred (7:30PM to 6:00AM)
  • Ability to perform basic mental math
  • Ability to communicate in English (Speak, read, and write)
  • Ability to balance productivity, quality, and safety
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to effectively work with others and as part of a team
  • Ability to work in a cold/wet environment
  • Ability to lift 10-35 lbs. repetitively and up to 45 lbs. occasionally
  • Ability to push/pull up to 250 lbs. on rollers occasionally
  • Ability to stand for 10–12-hour shifts

Working Conditions

  • This role operates in a cold/wet refrigerated environment (around 34 degrees F)
  • Located within a manufacturing, warehousing, and production type facility
  • Must be able to withstand cold temperatures for 10-12 hours a day
  • Largely a static role with standing, however, the ability to perform repetitive bending and standing up is also required

Job Description

We have multiple openings for both of our night shifts. Our 4-day/10-hour shift runs from Monday to Thursday, 7:30PM to 6:00AM. Our 3-day/12-hour shift runs from Friday to Sunday, 6:00PM to 6:00AM.
