About the role

Smurfit Westrock (NYSE:SW) is the go-to leader and partner of choice in sustainable packaging, dedicated to creating efficient and scalable paper and packaging solutions. The Missisquoi Mill in Sheldon Springs, Vermont manufactures 100% recycled boxboard and is hiring for regular full‑time entry‑level production work. The position requires working a variety of jobs on rotating 12‑hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Work safely at all times.
• Perform manual labor activities, frequent bending, lifting, walking, and housekeeping.
• Operate industrial trucks for roll handling and raw materials.
• Use manufacturing systems and comply with safety and quality systems throughout the plant.
• Know and follow all safety, plant, and quality policies/procedures.
• Operate various computer programs in the production process.
• Follow established housekeeping standards.
• Inspect finished materials and adhere to quality standards.
• Operate multiple types of converting and packaging machinery safely and efficiently.
• Use hand tools (sledgehammer, tape measure, knife, wrench, screwdriver, etc.) to manipulate materials.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to work safely.
• Ability to work rotating 12‑hour shifts on a southern swing rotation.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Solid history of employment; two years of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Physical demands: frequent bending, lifting up to 45‑50 lb, standing on feet for 8 hours or more per day.
