Production Team Member

AISIN Automotive Casting Tennessee (AACT) in Clinton, TN is seeking a General Production Team Member to operate equipment and machinery in the casting, machining, and assembly of automotive components. Ensures components meet customer specifications and moves materials through all stages of the manufacturing process.

Responsibilities

• Lift workpiece manually or using hoist and secure workpiece in fixture or load automatic feeding device.
• Start machine, engage feed, and observe operation.
• Inspect and measure manufactured workpieces to verify conformance to specifications.
• Move machine controls and guides to adjust machine.
• Replace worn machine accessories.
• File, sand, or shape machined parts.
• Clean manufactured parts.
• Tend machines and equipment.
• Perform work according to Standard Work Chart and the Work Instruction Manual.
• Perform inspection according to the Key Point Instruction Sheet.
• Maintain good housekeeping practices at assigned workstation.
• Complete Preventative Maintenance Inspections as requested by the Supervisor.
• Perform Pokayoke checks according to the Inspection Sheet.
• Record information on the Daily Production Report.
• Change dies and fixtures when instructed by the Supervisor.
• Communicate all abnormal situations to the Team Leader or Supervisor.
• Report machine and equipment malfunctions to Team Leader or Supervisor.
• Perform sampling inspection and testing of received parts, components, and materials to determine conformance to standards.
• Pull products for tests at specified stages in production process and test for qualities such as dimensions, performance, or chemical characteristics.
• Record test data, applying statistical quality control procedures.
• Adjust work procedures to meet production schedules.
• Suggest changes in use of equipment to increase efficiency.
• Set up machines and equipment.
• May be required to work both daily and weekly overtime.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing experience preferred, but not required.
