Production Team Member 1st and 2nd Shift

Location: Coshocton, Ohio

About the Role

Employees will perform general production duties in a food-manufacturing environment and will work within strict product standards. Typical positions include arranging bacon, pressing pork bellies, hand packing on an assembly line, stacking finished cases, and rotating through work assignments. Starting wage is $21.87 per hour with timed pay increases.

Responsibilities

• Perform all pre-operational safety inspections
• Ensure guards are in place at work station
• Know and follow all Quality Production Specifications in performance of the job
• Know and follow all PPE and GMP to ensure proper cleanliness of product
• Use practices consistent with the highest possible quality and yield results
• Take single drafts of Oscar Mayer bacon and arrange them correctly onto product cards
• Place drafts of bacon onto the lug conveyor/table correctly, carefully, and timely, ensuring all available holes are filled
• Downgrade necessary drafts that are not Oscar Mayer quality to the proper grade
• Work as a team and assist other arrangers as needed on the line
• Maintain cleanliness by sweeping floors, emptying white tubs into v-mags, clearing packages from green tubs, emptying trash cans, and emptying red tubs into yellow barrels
• Assist with rejects while at extra position or during downtime on the line
• Perform additional duties as directed by supervision
• All employees are responsible for the implementation, ongoing maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Quality Risk Management Process (QRMP)
• Proficient in developing technologies

Requirements

• Ability to stand for the duration of shift excluding designated break times
• Ability to work in refrigerated temperatures for duration of shift excluding designated break times
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work full-time and overtime
• Ability to work weekend shifts and 2nd shift (afternoon start time)
• 1 year of stable work history strongly preferred
• 3 years of manufacturing experience required (6 months relevant experience in the last 12 months)

Pay

$21.87 per hour with timed pay increases.

Schedule

New hires should expect initial training primarily during the week before bidding to or being placed into a home position. Ability to work weekends is required.

About the Facility

The Coshocton facility is a union plant with over 600 employees, having grown from 300 employees in 2015. It is the only Oscar Mayer bacon facility.
