Responsibilities

  • Coordinates, facilitates, and directs the daily activities of hourly manufacturing Associates.
  • Sets up the production line to the specification of the customer’s order and works closely with various departments to ensure parts are manufactured according to customer specifications.
  • Ensures appropriate parts and quantity of parts are being run according to the production schedule.
  • Communicates any safety, quality, and/or production-related issues with Supervisor or appropriate management representative.
  • Coordinates housekeeping activities of the area.
  • Provides necessary training to new associates and documents said training.
  • Identifies, investigates, and resolves delays in the shift.
  • Works with Supervisor and other leaders to identify and address inefficiencies.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of previous lead experience required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an industrial environment.
  • Ability to speak English and/or Spanish proficiently.

Skills

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Thorough understanding of operations policies and practices.
  • Proficiency in Excel/ERP (Hand Scanner is a plus).
  • Basic computer skills (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
  • Experience with GP is a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to stand, walk, push, bend, and/or squat for 10+ hours in a day.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25-50 lbs at a time.
  • Regularly perform repetitive tasks.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be able to work in a manufacturing facility environment.
