Production Team Lead/ Unit Coordinator C - 3rd Shift

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate the activities of team members engaged in the production line.
• Enforce all safety and quality standards.
• Communicate with team members before and during each shift about safety, quality, production, manning, and line condition updates.
• Cook with other supervisors on operations and activities within or between departments.
• Discuss with management: Quality Concerns, Production Status, Equipment & Line Issues, Team Member problems, complaints, or grievances, Areas for improvement.
• Plan, check, and confirm work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.
• Observe work and monitor activity to ensure that team members uphold all plant standards.
• Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and evaluate current production estimates and outputs.
• Utilize 5s and Lean production principles to improve standard operating procedures.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent and 4 to 6 years of position-related experience; a Technical Diploma or associate degree and 6 to 8 years of position-related experience is preferred.
• Experience or exposure to 5s and Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Experience in Supervisory role.
