Job Responsibilities
- Direct the work and parts flow in their respective production area.
- Aid employees in the operation of their equipment.
- Assist in other departments as needed.
- Train operators on standardized work, machine operations, and quality inspections.
- Follow up weekly with employees to ensure standardized work is being followed.
- Review hourly performance, take corrective actions, and analyze repetitive issues.
- Perform minor equipment corrections or notify proper personnel.
- Conduct daily audits for 5S and safety, verifying safety equipment.
- Sign off safety checklists and follow escalation process for equipment downtime.
- Coordinate support groups and participate in kaizen events.
- Monitor and assist employees with equipment setup validation and downtime reporting.
- Communicate issues to supervisors or managers and support departmental goals.
- Foster positive relationships and recommend improvements through continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Ability to obtain TWI 10-hour certification.
- Ability to obtain a fork truck license and operate overhead crane.
- Minimal supervision required.
- Good organizational skills.
- High integrity and honesty.
- Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Physical demands of a general factory environment.
