Key Responsibilities

• Assist Department Supervisor in assigning/delegating work, coordinating the safe and efficient operations of the department to meet operational goals
• Fill in for the supervisor and their duties when the supervisor is unavailable
• Recommend measures to motivate employees and to improve safety, production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency
• Aid in coordinating activities & training of employees; die setters, material handlers and operators
• Confer with supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments
• Plan and establish job assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals when supervisor is unavailable
• Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions
• Authority to stop production in the event unsafe parts or conditions appear
• Absorb and assist in problem solving/ corrective actions
• Absorb and assist in developing work instructions
• Train on Quality Alerts/Sign Off
• Follow & enforce all PPE & safety protocols as outlined in TTD handbook
• Performs other duties as assigned by the immediate Supervisor and/or Manager, which may be outside the scope of responsibilities noted above

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Some previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience is preferred
• Experience with die setting in a manufacturing environment
• Identified candidates must be able to work overtime (daily, weekends and holidays)
