Production Team Lead

About the Role

Novolex is hiring a Team Lead in Carrollton, TX. This role is responsible for troubleshooting complex processes, ensuring safety, supervising operators, and maintaining production quality. The Team Lead will also manage problem-solving initiatives, support employee development, and ensure the execution of the Pactiv Production System.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot complex/critical processes or equipment and provide hands-on solutions.
• Ensure the safety of all employees within the department and promote safety awareness.
• Supervise Operators and monitor production line conditions.
• Assess training needs and administer training as necessary.
• Ensure talent development and effective communication across all levels.
• Meet production capacities and ensure only quality products are produced.
• Maintain good housekeeping of the production facility.
• Assist with employee performance evaluations and counsel employees as needed.
• Complete daily attendance reports for the department.
• Manage problem-solving and continuous improvement for 1 Value Stream of product families.
• Execute the Pactiv Production System, including leader standard work, hour-by-hour reporting, and participation in kaizen activities.
• Supervise technicians, operators, and material handlers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience, preferably in a supervisory role within a manufacturing facility.
• Basic Microsoft skills (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.).
• Proficiency in the English language (reading, writing, speaking).
• Hands-on leadership and ability to communicate effectively in front of large groups.
• Reliable and dependable in completing work assignments.
• Mechanical aptitude, analytical skills, problem-solving, project management, and strong technical skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team, demonstrate judgment, motivation, planning, and organizing.
• Commitment to professionalism, quality, safety, adaptability, and punctuality.

Physical Requirements

• Constantly stand, walk, use hands, and arms.
• Occasionally stoop, kneel, or crouch.
• Frequently lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.
• Frequently push or pull items using force up to 95 pounds.
• Frequently climb 10-40 steps and occasionally climb 5-10 ladder rungs.
• Work in differing temperatures.
• Work 12-hour rotating shifts and overtime as required.

Compensation

$24.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Schedule

12-hour shifts with a 2-2-3 schedule, available shifts: 7PM-7AM and 7AM-7PM.
