Production Support Specialist

Position Summary

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Create, build, and maintain part numbers and related product information.
• Prepare and set up new products for manufacturing.
• Create, review, and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Maintain accurate production and product data within company systems.
• Assist with inventory maintenance and research inventory discrepancies.
• Support production scheduling, work orders, and production documentation.
• Cook up with Production, Warehouse, Quality, and other departments to support manufacturing priorities.
• Identify data, inventory, and production issues and assist with process improvements.
• Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and production tracking information.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• An associate degree or related technical education is preferred.
• Two or more years of manufacturing, production support, planning, or inventory experience are preferred.
• Experience with part number creation, BOMs, and manufacturing product data is preferred.
• Scheduling software experience is preferred (i.e. Planit, ProjectManager, SAP).
• ERP software (i.e. Priority, Global Shop, SAP) or general ERP/MRP manufacturing systems experience is preferred.
• Six Sigma training or certification is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications is required.
• Proficiency in understanding and executing conversions for units of measure (metric, imperial, standard) is required.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills are required.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities are required.
• Knowledge, skills, and abilities include a basic understanding of manufacturing processes and production workflows, the ability to accurately maintain product, BOM, inventory, and production data, strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
