Position Summary
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Create, build, and maintain part numbers and related product information.
- Prepare and set up new products for manufacturing.
- Create, review, and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Maintain accurate production and product data within company systems.
- Assist with inventory maintenance and research inventory discrepancies.
- Support production scheduling, work orders, and production documentation.
- Cook up with Production, Warehouse, Quality, and other departments to support manufacturing priorities.
- Identify data, inventory, and production issues and assist with process improvements.
- Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and production tracking information.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- An associate degree or related technical education is preferred.
- Two or more years of manufacturing, production support, planning, or inventory experience are preferred.
- Experience with part number creation, BOMs, and manufacturing product data is preferred.
- Scheduling software experience is preferred (i.e. Planit, ProjectManager, SAP).
- ERP software (i.e. Priority, Global Shop, SAP) or general ERP/MRP manufacturing systems experience is preferred.
- Six Sigma training or certification is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications is required.
- Proficiency in understanding and executing conversions for units of measure (metric, imperial, standard) is required.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills are required.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities are required.
- Knowledge, skills, and abilities include a basic understanding of manufacturing processes and production workflows, the ability to accurately maintain product, BOM, inventory, and production data, strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- A detail-oriented, dependable, and team-focused approach is required.
