Production Support Coordinator
About the role
A Production Support Coordinator provides administrative, logistical, and operational support to the production department in a chemical manufacturing facility. This role ensures production activities are properly documented, materials are available, records are accurate, and communication flows smoothly between Production, Quality, Maintenance, Procurement, and Warehouse teams.
Responsibilities
- Production Documentation & Administrative Support: Preparing purchased labels for production lines based on schedule and BOMs provided, documenting quantities staged for process orders, confirming correct material and quantity is staged in SAP, and reporting inconsistencies with physical verification and SAP reports.
- Label Making & Printing: Creating and printing product labels, batch labels, drum/IBC labels, hazard labels, and internal tracking labels according to product specifications, ensuring all printed labels comply with up to date artwork provided, and verifying label accuracy.
- SAP Coordination & System Transactions: Recording production-related data, assisting in troubleshooting basic SAP errors, and escalating to appropriate support teams.
- Material & Inventory Coordination: Confirming label availability for upcoming batches, assisting Warehouse and Production in staging labels, identifying shortages or discrepancies, and communicating them promptly.
- Safety, Quality & Compliance Support: Supporting proper documentation of quality checks and lot traceability, assisting in maintaining compliance with chemical industry safety regulations and plant standards, and reporting safety or housekeeping issues immediately.
- Cross‑Functional Communication: Providing daily updates to Production Planners and assisting with coordination of scrap reconciliations during changeovers, cleanouts, or batch transitions.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 year of manufacturing, production support, warehouse, or administrative experience
- Basic computer skills, including MS Excel and familiarity with data entry
- Ability to learn SAP or similar systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SAP or any ERP system
- Understanding of chemical hazards, SDS, GHS labeling, or quality documentation
- Coursework in supply chain, industrial technology, business, or chemistry

- Work on different times/ shifts based on business needs, including 3RD shift

Pay
The expected compensation range for this position is between $47,950.00 and $70,323.00 plus discretionary bonuses.
Schedule
This role may require working on different times/ shifts based on business needs, including 3RD shift.
