About the role
The Production Support team member ensures efficient, high-quality manufacturing operations. This role involves preparing and logging ingredients, rotating between stations, performing quality checks, and upholding sanitation and safety standards. The position requires adaptability, strong communication, attention to detail, and a commitment to minimizing waste. Additional responsibilities may include supporting packaging operations.
Responsibilities
- Quickly prepare and accurately log ingredients, rotate stations, and operate production equipment.
- Operate under state guidelines for compliant storage and handling of all products.
- Maintain high-quality standards, including constant QA/QC of products during prep and production.
- Work collaboratively in high-pressure situations with a sense of urgency.
- Communicate effectively with team members and respond to questions or suggestions from various levels within the company.
- Maintain and comply with sanitation and safety standards.
- Keep a clean and organized kitchen and work environment.
- Perform visual quality inspections on products and minimize waste.
- Assist with packaging responsibilities as needed.
- Perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- At least 6 months of directly related experience and/or training in a food production or kitchen environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to understand and comply with kitchen sanitation and safety regulations.
- Experience working with a high sense of urgency in a team environment or independently.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Must obtain all state-required permits, licenses, and certifications (ServSafe Food Handler’s Card preferred).
- Willingness to submit to a background check.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and written.
- Basic mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Must be 21 years of age or older, as required by state regulations.
