Production Support Associate - All Shifts
About the role
A Material Operator plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth production processes and meeting high standards. The position involves supporting the production line, managing materials, performing quality checks, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace.
Responsibilities
- Support the production line by staging, replenishing, and preparing materials like bottles, caps, and pumps.
- Double-check component numbers and ensure correct paperwork and SAP stickers are in place.
- Use electric pallet jacks to move components and finished goods, preparing pallets for warehouse transfer.
- Scan finished products into SAP and maintain accurate records, acting as a quality gatekeeper.
- Perform quality audits, checking label placement, batch codes, and overall product standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace that adheres to FDA and company quality standards.
- Promote and enforce safety protocols throughout the facility.
- Step in as a backup Equipment Operator and assist in training new team members.
- Complete SOPs, Work Instructions, and other documentation accurately and diligently.
- Handle sensitive product and customer information with discretion.
- Show up consistently, be willing to work overtime, and take on additional tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- A High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
- At least one year of experience in a manufacturing environment is beneficial.
- Familiarity with FDA Good Manufacturing Practices and OSHA safety standards is required.
- Experience with SAP and HMI systems is advantageous.
- A problem-solving mindset and attention to detail are essential.
- The ability to follow written and verbal instructions, wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and work collaboratively is necessary.
- A strong time management skill set and a positive, team-oriented attitude are important.
- Comfort operating electric pallet jacks and being able to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally is required.
- The ability to work in a climate-controlled, moderately loud production area is necessary.
- Standing, walking, reaching, pushing, pulling, and moving throughout the shift are part of the job.
- Navigating around motorized equipment like pallet jacks and forklifts is a requirement.
