About the role
The Production Supervisor directly supervises all employees assigned to the department on various shifts, carrying out responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities

- Plan, assign, and direct work

Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Five years of manufacturing experience (corrugated packaging is a plus)
- Strong, proven leadership qualities
Skills
- Language: Ability to read and understand English; interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals; write reports and correspondence
- Mathematical: Calculate percentages, measurements, volume, and rates; apply high school math concepts
- Reasoning: Apply common sense to carry out instructions in written, oral, or graphic form; handle problems with several variables
- Computer: Familiar with Microsoft Office and software for tracking starch usage and updating quality-related data for food safety compliance; basic understanding of manufacturing processes, including inventory management and ordering

Work Environment
The work environment characteristics described are representative of those an employee experiences while performing the functions of this job:
- Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, wet and/or humid conditions, high or low precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, and vibration
- Loud noise level in the work environment; hearing protection required at all times in the production area
