Hours
Monday – Thursday with rotating Friday. Start time between 5pm–7pm followed by a 9‑hour shift (TBD).
Core Responsibilities
- Responsible for the supervision of assigned employees and ensures compliance with all quality standards, customer specifications, and company policies.
- Understand and manage the schedules and production to meet customer schedules.
- Administers the personnel functions for the department. This includes interviewing and selection of personnel, performance evaluations, and disciplinary action. Focus on UTL and Employee development.
- Responsible for all processes, equipment, employees, safety and housekeeping.
- Maintains thorough knowledge of all processes and equipment or knows who to contact for information.
- Anticipates and trouble shoots problems with jobs and/or equipment and coordinates with other departments for resolution.
- Ensures that established policies, rules and regulations and procedures are followed.
- Coordinates production efforts with supervisors on other shifts for smooth transition.
- Ensures that all equipment is operational and maintained per specifications.
- Screen, interview, select and onboard new hires, conduct performance appraisals, coach and council employees.
- Champion BES/lean measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years working in a manufacturing environment.
- 3+ years’ experience in supervisory capacity.
- Excellent leadership and team skills required. Able to effectively interface at all levels of the organization.
- Knowledge of processes and machines related to products manufactured within a given business unit.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and team player approach.
- Computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access required.
Education Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration or another related field highly preferred.
