Job Overview

The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading and coordinating daily manufacturing operations, within the MOV Manufacturing plant, to ensure safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost objectives are achieved. This role provides direct leadership to production employees, ensures adherence to company policies and procedures, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and develops a high-performing workforce.

A Day In The Life

  • Lead and supervise hourly production employees to achieve daily production goals
  • Plan, organize, and assign work to maximize labor, equipment, and material utilization
  • Monitor production performance and adjust resources as necessary to meet customer requirements
  • Cook, train, and develop employees to improve performance and increase skill levels
  • Drive employee accountability for quality and workmanship
  • Address attendance, performance, and behavioral concerns in accordance with company policies
  • Foster employee engagement and maintain positive employee relations

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Associate's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: 3–5 years of manufacturing experience required. Prior supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing environment required.

Physical Requirements

  • Continuously works in hot and humid environment for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to work safely in close proximity to strong electromagnetic fields
  • Must be able to remain on feet or walking 90% of the time
  • Frequently lifts materials up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to be exposed to loud noises, dusty conditions for extended periods of time
