About the role

The Production Slag Supervisor oversees the entire slag production process in a manufacturing facility, ensuring efficient operations, maintaining quality standards, and managing a team of workers responsible for collecting, processing, and handling slag while adhering to safety regulations and optimizing production output.

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring slag production processes to ensure consistent quality and compliance with specifications.
  • Adjusting production schedules and optimizing workflow to meet daily targets and deadlines.
  • Identifying and addressing production bottlenecks or issues to minimize downtime.
  • Overseeing the collection, transportation, and storage of slag materials.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas.
  • Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

Requirements

  • Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent or 3 years of equivalent experience.
  • Required Work Experience: 1-3 years.
  • Additional Education Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Quality Control, Manufacturing, or Production.
  • Preferred Field of Study: Quality Control, Manufacturing, and Production.

Qualifications

  • Minimal travel requirements.
  • Must adhere to all safety protocols and properly use Amrize-approved Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), including but not limited to respirators.
  • Employees required to wear respirators must be clean-shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
