Production Supervisor, Formation/Inspection - Days
Responsibilities
- Directly supervises employees in the Panasonic production process
- Carrries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
- Interviews, hires, and trains employees
- Plans, assigns, and directs work
- Appraises performance
- Rewards and disciplines employees
- Addresses complaints and resolves problems
- Achieves and monitors all Key Performance Indicators (Safety, Financial, Production, Quality, Manpower)
- Creates precise end of shift reports, root cause analysis documents, and headcount reports
- Maintains safety guidelines
- Investigates all safety incidents
- Performs 5-WHY, 8-D, fishbone, 4M analysis
- Monitors defect trends and assigns corrective actions
- Maintains material loss trends and assigns corrective actions
- Maintains expense trends and applies strict control over consumables
- Manages machine downtimes, escalations, and recoveries
- Coordinates work activities with other supervisors
- Troubleshoots and escalates mechanical failures
- Participates in and supports various engineering and quality control projects
- Reviews PSI/line performance and schedules daily asset care
- Revises and establishes new work procedures (SOP)
- Manages high volume shipping and receiving areas
- Manages inventory control of all process materials
- Understands integrated systems such as SAP, MES, Oracle
- Recommends continuous improvement activities
- Interprets company policies
- Provides regular performance feedback
Qualifications
- Basic/Required: High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- Preferred: Technical School degree and two to five years of supervisory experience working in a high speed, automated manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- High volume manufacturing experience strongly desired
- Electric component, chemical manufacturing, medical/pharmaceutical manufacturing experience a plus
- Experience with Lean and 5S systems extremely beneficial
- Candidates must be a good communicator and have excellent problem solving and people skills
- Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word
