Production Supervisor (Baltimore)

The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily production activities within a manufacturing site or branch location. This role ensures that production schedules are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with quality standards. The Production Supervisor provides frontline leadership to production staff, drives accountability, and supports continuous improvement initiatives aligned with operational goals. This position plays a critical role in maintaining workflow discipline, team performance, and adherence to standardized manufacturing processes. Key Responsibilities Supervise daily production operations to ensure output, quality, and safety targets are metCoordinate staffing, workflow, and shift activities to support production schedulesMonitor production KPIs and address performance gaps in real timeEnsure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental proceduresTrain, coach, and evaluate production personnel to maintain performance standardsSupport inventory accuracy, material usage reporting, and waste reduction effortsCommunicate production status and issues to Site Leaders or Plant LeadershipOther duties assigned by management Key Deliverables Achievement of daily and weekly production targetsSafe operations with full adherence to PPE and safety protocolsReduced scrap, rework, and downtime through active supervisionAccurate production reporting and shift documentationImproved team performance and workforce engagement Reporting Structure Reports To: Site Leader/Production ManagerDirect Reports: Production Operators Educational Requirements High school diploma or GED (required)Technical or vocational training in manufacturing (preferred) Required Experience 5–7 years of manufacturing experience, with prior supervisory responsibility preferredStrong understanding of production processes, safety standards, and quality proceduresExperience leading shift teams in a process-driven environmentAbility to manage workflow, resolve issues quickly, and maintain team accountabilityEffective communication and leadership skills Working Conditions Manufacturing environment Effort/Physical Demands Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time.
