Production Supervisor B Shift (2:45-11pm)

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and implement safety guidelines for all employees inside the facility
• Hire and train food production personnel
• Ensure manufacturing and processing staff wear appropriate sanitary and protective gear
• Complete production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel, establishing priorities, monitoring progress, revising schedules
• Maintain compliance with established procedures and standards throughout production
• Schedule personnel for optimal efficiency and within the allocated amount of personnel for each production cell (PC)
• Develop new food products to boost sales and increase generated returns
• Allot work tasks to every lead on all production lines
• Set production objectives and implement action plans for achieving set targets
• Create periodic reports to update upper management on food production activities
• Schedule shifts to ensure round-the-clock food production operations
• Identify customer requirements and adjust to meet such needs
• Undertake continuous training and development of employees
• Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems
• Recruit new operators and leads for lines
• Report any issues to the shift manager to prevent missed production goals
• Work with scheduling to ensure production is running as scheduled and develop solutions when production falls behind

People Management

• Set department objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Review and assess ongoing performance of direct reports
• Conduct daily production meetings with leads
• Report on achievement of targets and identify any actions required
• Promote high standards through personal example and roll out through the team
• Supervise and lead the team, ensuring adequate staffing levels and accountability
• Motivate and coach the team to operational success
• Monitor the completion of tasks and ensure good performance
• Review, implement, and update company records such as training metrics, performance reviews, and risk assessments
• Communicate KPIs and annual plans to each employee

Management Relationships

• Work with the management team to share ideas and improve operations
• Recommend, support, and implement continuous improvement activities and process and procedure improvements
• Optimize results and improve quality in line with quality standards and customer requirements
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
